Oh no, what have I done!?!

I've signed up for a Grad level Education course!!

All the memories of droning professors, unneeded advice, and the lack of actual practicum for the coursework are coming back to me...ugh. I loved my Methods courses in the School of Ed, don't get me wrong, but so many of the other classes were difficult to get excited or interested in.

So, now I bet you're all just dying to know what I'm taking! Here it is:

"Socio/Psycholinguistic Applications to Reading Instruction - L502:
Explores the linguistic and cognitive dimensions of language as they relate to the teaching of reading. Discusses relationships among the systems of language and among the various expressions of language.
Always includes topics on pragmatic semantics, grammar, and dialect. This course taught once per year, usually in the fall some summers."

Now why am I going to put myself through this torture? So that I can torture myself some more when I'm certified to teach ESL in the State of Indiana. Isn't that exciting??

(Someone who knows anything about ESL tell me I'm not crazy!! lol)
