Visit from Beth!
Beth finally got up to Bloomington this past weekend. She's trying to get things set in order and people visited before she heads to France for the year. (Yes, I'm slightly jealous.)

Well, we couldn't let her come all this way without doing something with her. So Mari & I took her and her friend to Oliver's Saturday afternoon. We like to go there every couple of months: look at the flowers, see what wines are new, do some tasting, and maybe buy a bottle and une bagette and sit by the pond and enjoy the afternoon.
They are a very nice winery, the oldest in Indiana. Now, I know we're not famous like California, Australia, France or Italy for wine, but Oliver is recently becoming very competitive with their quality. To learn more about them, visit their website: http://www.oliverwinery.com/
But here's what the locals will want to know: Oliver has a new port!!
Their Creekbend label (which is entirely made from locally grown grapes) now has a port. Mari & I tried it...it was good! Unfortunately, there's a limited number of cases available, and only at the showroom. (Yes, mom, we have a bottle just waiting 'till you get here to open.)
Pictures on the photoblog. (Don't forget there's 2 posts of pics for this topic: nº1 et nº2)

I love the photos... I keep coming back because they are here. I would kill for a digital so I could keep more on my site. (How am I doing? Is that what you are looking for?)
tee hee!
Mom: yeah, I know you love us. ;) Just give us a date!
Erin: I'm so glad you like the pics. I hope you come back as I get into my pensive mode (aka the school year). Who knows what you'll find then! (But maybe the photography will help me keep my sanity??) lol
Well I'm not sure what differences I can tell with the detox diet...I'm assuming you have to do it for at least 2 weeks to really feel the full effects. My fatty meat lunch with the Koreans kind of broke up my diet =( But, I have noticed just changes in my own patterns of eating. I'm just naturally steaming my vegetables now instead of stir-frying in oil like I usually do, eating a LOT (maybe too much) of fruit, and drinking a lot MORE water and less diet/sugar subtitute drinks. So, I think it's beneficial definitely. As for the book, no it's not about Rich Mullins, it's about what it means and how to trust Dad. I just finished it and while the 1st half was slow for me, the 2nd really picked up and i enjoyed it. I recommend if youre interested. This book is the sequel i think to Ragamuffin Gospel which was also very good...its about learning to recieve Dad's grace and seeing past yourself, your mistakes & struggles and just focusing on Him.
So you're friends with Gwynn?
Thanks for the update! You know I'm actually meeing Gwynn next weekend in Shanghai to watch the Lion King broadway and then training together back to her city to hang out with the guys. Should be fun so I'm really looking forward to it! =) You know we've never actually met in person, only chatted through Skype & on the phone once so this will be our first official meeting. But, I can already tell I like her :) Anyway, about the blog, I have "special" ways of surfing so "they" can't keep me out or pry into my business. PTL :)
i'm diggin' yer blog. that pic of me and jamie is nice, but it looks like i got a haircut from a vacuum . . . a mean and spiteful vacuum. everyone needs to know that it's just because the car windows were down as we were driving!!!
dad got stung at least 20 times this afternoon by bees as he was cutting the grass. he's at the hospital now - no visible severe reactions - it's just really painful/uncomfortable. but, please pray, in case.
