En Memoire

In Memory of Our Dandy Sugar
Born April 22, 1985;
Died February 26, 2007

I received some very sad news today. One of my best comrades died. My horse, Dandy, coliced late last night. He was found this morning in very critical condition; they called the vet and decided that it would be best to put him down. I found out around noon, and it was heartbreaking. I loved this horse.

We had been partners, a team. We worked together, played together, won together, lost together, and taught each other a lot about teamwork and communication. He was my "big baby" and my "old man". He was always sensitive to my needs, often even before I knew them myself. He took care of me and challenged me. He helped to share joy and wonder with many others who otherwise may not have known the euphoria of sharing the strength and power of such an elegant animal.

He was truly a "dandy". He will be truly missed.
